



Despite the global recession and market downturn, Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Pune has done well in the Campus Recruitment Programme 2008-09, which reinstates the confidence the industry has in our students.
Varied sectors ranging from Banking & Financial Services, Consulting, FMCG, IT & ITES, Manufacturing & Consumer Durables, Media and Telecom participated in the recruitment drive this year.
Recruiters spanning domestic geographies as well as international recruiters participated to hire from the pool of best talent.
New Recruiters
Along with the regular recruiters such as Asian Paints, Coca-Cola India, Cognizant, Dabur, Godrej Industries, ITC, Tata Motors and Vodafone, this year was marked by the participation of new global recruiters like IFFCO Group and Dubai Health Authority, with our long term relationship with Protiviti Inc. still standing. The campus saw a spate of new domestic recruiters like Bajaj Finance, Cairn India, Credit Analysis and Research, Credit Suisse Services India, Deutsche Bank Operations International, Irevna, Knight Frank India, Tata Teleservices, TVS Motors and Wrigley to name a few.The average compensation this year was Rs. 9 lakhs p.a.
FMCG
The major FMCG players included Asian Paints, Castrol, Coca-Cola India, Dabur, Godfrey Philips, Godrej Industries, Heinz, ITC, Perfetti Van Melle and SABMiller. The sector also saw first time recruiters like Wrigley and IFFCO Group.IT & ITES
The participants in this sector included KPIT Cummins, Cognizant Technology Solutions, and Hewlett-Packard India.Consulting
The Consulting space saw participation from recruiters like Avalon Consulting, Hewitt Associates, Mercer, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Protiviti Inc. to name a few along with first time recruiter Knight Frank India. The international offers in this sector were made by Protiviti Inc.Banking & Financial Services
This sector saw new relationships being established with esteemed organizations like Bajaj Finance, Credit Suisse Services India, Deutsche Bank Operations International and Irevna, and strengthening of relationships with our past recruiters like CFC India, Kotak Mahindra, SEBI and Tata Capital.Telecom
